a sunday afternoon in north norfolk...

So, we've now moved house (photos to follow shortly) and Rob's Summer holidays have started. I was in the house for three days, before Rob finished at school (with mountains of boxes and no internet!) and I've been itching to go out and explore - there seem to be so many little treasures around here. We kicked off our explorations by spending the afternoon on the north Norfolk coast, snapping, chatting, eating ice cream and driving in the sun. It was lovely!

Our afternoon started at the Norfolk lavender fields. Oh goodness was the smell amazing! It took me back to being five years old again and foraging through my Nain's silk scarf drawers, to find pretty shawls for her to dress me up as a "princess."

I wished I'd taken my macro lens to get some close-ups of the chubby bumblebees in the lavender flowers!
After visiting the lavender fields, (I so want to do a "proper" shoot here!) we headed to a farm shop to pick up the week's fruit and veg.
After the fruit & veg buying we pootled down to the beach for a stroll, before heading home. Such a lovely day.

  1. I would love to live by the sea! such gorgeous pics. I'm itching to get some lavender in my (very small) garden, so thanks for the prompt! x

  2. Stunning work! I love the softness of the lavender shots, and the colours of the veg boxes are just great!
